Mr. Tai sheng Feng currently serves as UMC's senior vice president, in charge of the company's Product Engineering Division, Mask Engineering & Service Division, Test and Package Engineering Service Division, and TQM Committee. He began his career at Electronic Magnet and Memories Inc. from 1974 to 1976. From 1976 to 1981 he was with Taiwan's Chung-Sung Institute of Science and Technology. From 1982 to 1995 he was with National Semiconductor Corporation and Motorola. Mr. Feng joined UMC in 1995.

Taisheng earned a B.S. degree in electrophysics in 1972 from National Chiao-Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. In 1982, he earned his M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. He holds 12 US patents.
