聯電與理光(Ricoh)公司擴展長期合作夥伴關係,將在八月以130奈米製程技術量產影像產品

聯電自去年五月起以180奈米製程技術為理光公司製造產品,，並自今年八月起將以130奈米銅/ 低介電值製程， 為該公司量產高度特殊應用集成電路(ASIC) 影像處理產品，理光成功的使用聯電130奈米製程技術，顯示其在日本業界是先進技術產品之提供者。

理光電子設計總經理諾那卡(Terumoto Nonaka)博士表示：雖然理光自己有工廠，但先進產品需要業界最具競爭優勢之製程技術，聯電領先群雄之130奈米製程，是理光先進產品製造之最佳選擇。

聯電提供130奈米元件資料庫，矽智產及整合設計規則等設計支援服務，讓設計過程更順暢，理光除分享產品數據，並與聯電工程師共同成功完成第一片矽晶片生產。

聯電全球行銷及市場開發業務長劉富臺博士表示：我們承諾提供130奈米製程等世界級晶圓專工服務，給辦公室設備領導者理光公司，協助達成其市場目標，很高興擴展與理光公司長期合作夥伴關係，讓理光公司能使用聯電高階製程與產能，以滿足其產品成長之大量需求。

理光電子設計總經理諾那卡博士說：我們已與聯電合作生產180奈米製程之產品有一段時間，很高興能成功擴及130奈米製程，更期望延伸目前與未來產品之製造於聯電全球各地之製造基地，經由不同生產地，為雙方創造雙贏局面。
