聯華電子與Ricoh公司今日(17日)宣佈：採用聯電高良率的0.13微米先進製程，Ricoh公司再度開發出數款影像處理晶片；兩家公司近日決定擴大0.13微米晶圓專工合作夥伴關係，並推出新影像處理晶片。聯電已為Ricoh公司量產高良率的0.13微米GPU晶片，並將藉此量產經驗及製程技術加速Ricoh公司0.13微米新產品的推出。

Ricoh公司大型積體電路(LSI)影像系統研發中心經理Kenji Wakabashi先生表示：聯電對0.13微米製程的強力支援及世界級的製程水準令我們印象深刻；Ricoh公司採用聯電0.13微米製程量產之產品，缺陷密度極低，不但晶片效能大幅提昇，更具顯著的成本節省效益；我們將借重此次0.13微米的成功經驗於Ricoh公司將推出的各項新產品，再度強化我們在日本尖端LSI影像處理晶片供應商的領導地位。

現今以聯電0.13微米製程技術量產的晶片客戶為數眾多，產品應用橫跨消費性電子、電腦及網路領域；0.13微米製程產品的營業額佔聯電2003年第二季營收約6%。
