Frank
Wen
President, Central Integrated Manufacturing & Technology |

Frank Wen serves
as UMC's President and Board Director, in charge of Central
Integrated Manufacturing and Technology. Dr. Wen joined the
company in November 1996 as Senior Vice President in charge
of fab operations and has served as President of United Silicon
Inc. (USIC), a UMC joint venture company formed with leading
U.S. fabless companies. After UMC merged with USIC, Dr. Wen
served as General Manager of the Business Group. Prior to UMC,
he worked on CMOS device modeling and process simulations at
Xerox Corp and worked at TRW LSI Product Inc. and Winbond Electronics.
Dr. Wen received his bachelor's and master's degrees from National
Chiao Tung University, and his doctorate degree from the University
of Pennsylvania, all in Electrical Engineering. |
