UMC places great importance on employee
salaries and benefits, and actively encourages personal development
among its employees and the protection of employee rights
in an effort to provide the best possible working environment.
Employees can communicate with the management
through many avenues, including departmental meetings, colleague
symposiums, and opinion boxes. In addition, UMC has set up
employee counseling services to further ensure the mental
and physical health of UMC employees and to develop a well
balanced atmosphere between employees and management.
To provide our employees with a space to
enjoy their leisure time, UMC began building an employee recreation
center in 2001. It was opened in March 2003. The employee
recreation center is well-equipped to support a variety of
activities, such as sports, entertainment acts, and arts events,
and has community meeting spaces.
