UMC is a global foundry leader in process technologies, with customer products using 40nm High Performance technology already being manufactured at our 300mm fabs. This independently developed technology incorporates up to 12 metal layers and uses sophisticated immersion lithography, copper/ultra low-k materials, and mobility enhancement techniques for maximum power and performance optimization.

UMC's broad technology offerings range from standard CMOS logic and RF/mixed mode to specialty technologies such as high voltage and CMOs image sensor. Different process device options are available to fit any customer application, from extremely high speed to ultra high density, or low power. Customers can choose from different process nodes, voltage options, and mixed mode/RFCMOS technologies to form a customizable platform base for their SoC designs.
