聯華電子今日 (9日) 與新世代 IC 效能與良率提昇解決方案供應商 Extreme DA^TM 公司共同宣佈，雙方將合作提供 65 奈米及以下製程之使用者，新一代具變量意識之 IC 設計流程。此流程能減少設計上的不確定性，並且可以在分析製程變異中的時序行為後，預測設計效能與良率。這項流程是以 Extreme DA 公司的 Gold^TM 統計分析套組為基礎，目前已試用在聯華電子 65 奈米製程的測試晶片上。這項合作是之前雙方在 90 奈米製程合作的延伸。

目前雙方在 65 奈米製程的合作包括以下重點：

• 為分析通用與差異性變異的效果而進行聯華電子設計單元資料庫的產品特性分析
• 採用Location-based on-chip variation (LOCV) 模式結構以求較佳的精確性與變異分析
• 65 奈米測試晶片上的變量意識擷取與時序分析
  
  

使用聯華電子經驗證的 65 奈米製程以及 Extreme DA 公司 Gold 套組生產 IC 的客戶，將能獲得參數良率的提昇與最佳化的效能，並降低 pessimism。

The Extreme Gold sign-off suite is a variation-aware performance and yield analysis flow for 65 and 45nm ICs. The suite models IC variations and analyzes the statistical effects on extraction, timing, and noise using the GoldTimeTM timing analyzer. Optimization of design performance and yield by the suite ensures successful ICs.
