聯華電子與 Ricoh 公司今日 (17日) 宣佈：採用聯電高良率的 0.13 微米先進製程，Ricoh 公司再度開發出數款影像處理晶片；兩家公司近日決定擴大 0.13 微米晶圓專工合作夥伴關係，並推出新影像處理晶片。聯電已為Ricoh 公司量產高良率的 0.13 微米 GPU 晶片，並將藉此量產經驗及製程技術加速 Ricoh 公司 0.13 微米新產品的推出。

Ricoh 公司大型積體電路 (LSI) 影像系統研發中心經理 Kenji Wakabashi 先生表示：聯電對 0.13 微米製程的強力支援及世界級的製程水準令我們印象深刻；Ricoh 公司採用聯電 0.13 微米製程量產之產品，缺陷密度極低，不但晶片效能大幅提昇，更具顯著的成本節省效益；我們將借重此次 0.13 微米的成功經驗於 Ricoh 公司將推出的各項新產品，再度強化我們在日本尖端 LSI 影像處理晶片供應商的領導地位。

現今以聯電 0.13 微米製程技術量產的晶片客戶為數眾多，產品應用橫跨消費性電子、電腦及網路領域；0.13 微米製程產品的營業額佔聯電 2003 年第二季營收約 6%。
