Singapore, April 3, 2018 - United Microelectronics Corporation (NYSE:UMC; TWSE: 2303) ("UMC"), a leading global semiconductor foundry, today announced that UMC's Singapore-based Fab 12i was awarded the Watermark Award from Singapore's National Water Agency at a ceremony held at the Kallang River, Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park. The Watermark Award is Singapore's top award that recognizes outstanding contributions and commitment to protect and raise awareness of water as a precious resource. Fab 12i was the only semiconductor fab to win the award.
