UMC Ranks Top 1% in the Semiconductor Industry in S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2025

In the Sustainability Yearbook 2025 published by S&P Global, UMC achieved "Top 1%" ranking in the Semiconductor & Semiconductor Equipment category. UMC has distinguished itself among over 7,690 large companies across 62 industries worldwide and is the only semiconductor company globally to earn the Top 1% recognition this year.

 

The Sustainability Yearbook selects companies for inclusion based on their scores in the annual Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), which also underpins the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI). CSA evaluates a company’s sustainability practices across Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) dimensions. UMC has been included in the DJSI World Index for 17 consecutive years and was ranked first among semiconductor peers worldwide in 2024, underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainable development.
